About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Analytical Chemist to perform petroleum, lubricant, and transformer oil testing using ASTM, IP, and IS standard methods. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with ICP-OES, GC, and wet chemistry techniques in an accredited laboratory environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine and non-routine chemical analysis of petroleum products and lubricants
- Validate and verify test methods per ISO/IEC 17025 requirements
- Maintain laboratory equipment calibration and maintenance records
- Prepare test reports and ensure data integrity
- Participate in proficiency testing and inter-laboratory comparisons
Requirements
- M.Sc. in Chemistry or Applied Chemistry
- 2-5 years experience in petroleum/lubricant testing laboratory
- Familiarity with ASTM D-series and IS 1448 test methods
- Experience with ICP-OES, GC, and titration equipment
- Knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025 quality management system
- Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
